Introduction
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities for the financial year ending 31 October 2022.
Safe Solo Ltd ('the Company', 'we', 'us' or 'our') is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations, its supply chain, and its products. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to comply with our values.
Organisational structure
Safe Solo Ltd is the parent company of the SS Global group and has business operations in the United Kingdom.
We operate in the ground transportation sector. The nature of our supply chains is as follows: We work with a number of key direct suppliers, who provide services on our behalf as well as suppliers for services, such as equipment for our premises, and services, such as outsourced business processes, IT software and marketing services

Policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner.
These include the following:
· Recruitment and selection policy - Employees should be free to choose to work for their employer and to leave the company upon reasonable notice.
All employees must be provided with a clear contract of employment, which complies with local legislation.
All employees must be treated in a fair and equal manner and with dignity and respect.
Any form of discrimination, victimisation or harassment on the grounds of marital or civil partnership status, sex (including gender reassignment), race (including colour, ethnic and national origin, nationality), disability, sexual orientation, having or not having dependants, religious belief or political opinion, age, trade union activity and offending background should be prohibited.
All applicable laws and industry standards on employee wages, benefits, working hours and minimum age should be adhered to in all countries of operation, without any unauthorised deductions. Suppliers should observe the provisions of the International Labour Organization such that any young persons under the age of 18 should not be employed to work at night or for any hazardous work and their employment should not harm the young person’s education, health or physical, mental, moral or social development. No young persons may be employed below the age of 16.
· Supplier code of conduct - All slavery and human trafficking laws must be complied with including, but not limited to, the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Suppliers must ensure their business operations are free from slavery and human trafficking practices whether in the UK or elsewhere, both internally and within their supply chains and other external business relationships. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
We expect our suppliers and potential suppliers to aim for high ethical standards and to operate in an ethical, legally-compliant and professional manner by adhering to our Supplier Code of Conduct
· Whistleblowing policy - We encourage concerns related to our activities and the supply chains of our organisation to be reported. Known as our “Speak Up Policy” procedure is designed to make it easy for workers to make disclosures and we have a confidential phone message facility to support this.
· Staff code of conduct - Safe Solo makes it clear to employees the actions and behaviour expected of them when representing the company. Safe Solo strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behaviour.
We make sure our suppliers are aware of our policies and adhere to the same standards.
Due Diligence
As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures:
· Internal supplier audits.
· External supplier audits.
Our due diligence procedures aim to:
· Identify and action potential risks in our business and supply chains.
· Monitor potential risks in our business and supply chains
· Reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains.
· Provide protection for whistleblowers.
Risk and compliance
The Company has evaluated the nature and extent of its exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in its UK supply chain through:
· Evaluating the slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier.
· Reviewing on a regular basis all aspects of the supply chain based on supply chain mapping.
We consider that we operate in a high-risk environment because Safe Solo Ltd operates in some risk level environment because the services are required by travellers needing safe and secure ground transportation services. some of our non-service suppliers are based in the UK and in low-risk industries, such as internet software and equipment suppliers.
We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains. Where there is evidence of failure to comply with our policies and procedures by any of our suppliers, we will seek to terminate our relationship with that supplier immediately.
Effectiveness
The Company uses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure its effectiveness and ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its business and supply chains. These KPIs are as follows:
· We will contact suppliers to enquire about their modern slavery practices every 6 months.
· We will train our staff about modern slavery issues and increase awareness within the Company.
· We will carry out a regular audit of suppliers - 100% of suppliers each year.
Training our staff
The Company requires its staff to complete training and ongoing refresher courses on slavery and human trafficking. The Company's training covers:
· How to identify the signs of slavery and human trafficking.
· What initial steps should be taken if slavery or human trafficking is suspected.
· How to escalate potential slavery or human trafficking issues to the relevant parties within the Company.
